    as you told me to post my support request here, I registered and am now searching for a solution for the following error response:

    “The authorization mechanism you have provided is not supported. Please use AWS4-HMAC-SHA256.”

    I can upload files via Media Library without problems, however requests (GET) doesn’t seem to work anymore. This might have to do something with my location, doesn’t it? How can I update my plugin to the new authorization model (AWS4-HMAC-SHA256)?

    Could you please explain what to do to make it work again with Cloudfront and S3? Is there any work-around or solution for this particular problem?

  • Yes the error has something to do with the location of your bucket. You will get that error while trying to authenticate request to buckets located in Frankfurt region with AWS signature v2. The region will only accept signature v4.

    I would like to know what version of the plugin are you using ?, cause this issue has already been fixed in newer versions of the plugin,please upgrade.
