• I had a very bad experience using it. If you don’t constantly check its functioning and its updating, you end up with an empty space instead of the feed. It’s okay not to have many configurations to choose from, but they should work at least over time! I have no information about the full version, but the free version was a disappointment for me

    Hi @pilgrimpov

I will be happy to address your concern but first of all I would like to thank you for sharing constructive feedback about the functionality of the plugin.

The empty box show-up due to the following reasons.

    1. When the password or any other privacy setting is changed on Facebook/Instagram.
    2. When the plugin tries to render the feed from the cache with expired signatures. Please note that to avoid load time and reduce API calls Easy Social Feed cache the feed for the duration selected while generating the shortcode (default one day) and fetches new information every day, hour or week depending on the settings while generating the shortcode. Please note that for scheduling we rely on WPCron (scheduling) that’s not 100% accurate even on high-traffic websites. In such cases, when the plugin fails to fetch new information from FB/IG it uses the old stored information that results in an empty box.

    Possible solution(s).

    1. In the first scenario the only option is delete the connection and connect the plugin again.
    2. For the second scenario, replace WPCron with System Scheduler. There’s the official documentation from WP.org to address this issue: https://developer.www.ads-software.com/plugins/cron/hooking-wp-cron-into-the-system-task-scheduler/ if you are not sure please contact your hosting provider to set this up.

I hope this information will be helpful for existing and new users of the plugin. If you have any additional questions please open the support ticket. I will be happy to help.
