• [I’m amending this review after switching from Nextcloud to SFTP and testing again with almost 30 websites. I now have a close to 100% success rate. On top of that, the WPvivid support team is doing a really good job. Support is personalized, friendly and competent. Still glad to have AiO in my back pocket, but after my initial frustration, I also think solutions are in sight.]

    =================================

    After using All in One WP Migrate for 7 years, I decided to buy WPvivid because it offers awesome features like scheduled incremental remote backups and Nextcloud integration.

    I’ve been trying this on about 20 websites so far, all on different servers at different hosting companies, and the exports to my Nextcloud time out in about 40% of all cases.

    Tried a whole plethora of different settings from their troubleshooting page, contact with Support and my own trial-and-error, and I have yet to find a safe “set it and forget it” configuration. The settings are convoluted with a ton of different options to understand and try out.

    Compare this to AiO Migrate, which you install, set up your SFTP connection and backup schedule, and it works 100% reliably. 7 years without a hitch, done thousands of backups and migrations, never a single problem!

    So I guess I’m going back.

    Hello @mrmatteastwood,

    In your ticket #153175 with us, we checked the 2 sites you provided.

    As far as we see, both sites have cron issues and 1 site has a 3-minute PHP time limit.

    We’ve responded with details and suggestions, and are still actively trying to help. Feel free to let us know if you need anything.

    All the best,

    WPvivid Team

    Hey Tony, I already meant to amend my review yesterday but didn’t get around to, finally did it now. You guys are doing a great job to help and I will follow up on the support tickets next week.

    I was tremendously frustrated two days ago after spending several hours trying remote backup to my Nextcloud on 14 websites (plus 6 previously, out of which I got the 2 issues I reported) and getting time-outs and failures left and right, so there are more problems than the two I reported for sure.

    However, they may well have to do with my Nextcloud. After I switched to SFTP that I signed up for yesterday, I’m getting great results. I will test this more and might follow up with more issue reports. I’m still hoping I can switch all my client sites to WPvivid down the line – after I find a setup that’s fully reliable.

    Thanks again, and have a great weekend.
