Unselect Optional Choices on Layers

    Hey Marc,

    I would appreciate if you clarify me something. I wanted to ask you why it is not posible to unselect a choice on a Layer (even if I don’t stablish that layer as “Require a choice ?”).

    In the page I’m sharing, you will see 3 Layers. ‘Color’ and ‘Envío’ both require a choice, but the third one ‘Extras’ doesn’t. Nevertheless, if i select a choice on ‘Extras’, then I’m not able to unselect any choice. Is there any way to allows users to unselect choices they have selected before? Or the unique way to do it is with the addon ‘Multiple Choices’?

    On the other hand, which is the configuration you are using on the Configurable Watch demo that allows users to add to cart the product, even if he haven’t changed any layer? I mean, in my configurator for the layer ‘Color’ I have stablish ‘Select the first choice by default’ so an image of my product appears on the inline configurator by default (if not no image appears). Nevertheless, as you indicate, then that first choice can not be selected and behaves as null. So how do you do on your watch demo to have pre-selected all first choices of all layers, and making them working (not being null choices)?

    Hi Guillermo,

    The basic behaviour is that for each layer, an option has to be selected, (unless “Select nothing” is selected and “Required” is NOT enabled).
    So there’s no option to deselect.

    For example in the watch demo, every choice is valid: nothing is set to “Required”, as in any case all combinations are valid.

    If you want the user to be able to select nothing, you’ll have to use the multiple choice add-on. For example in this product https://demos.mklacroix.com/addons/product/super-sneakers/, choose Options, and you’ll see it in action.
