unsharp thumbmails & strange format thumbnails

Hi,
Before i was using youre plugin version 1.4. But suddenly the thumbnails became fuzzy , not sharp.
So i tried to install version 2.0.4. But in this version , it creates thumbnails with really strange shapes/formats.Bit difficult to explain. I have a screenshot for you. is there any way i can send it to you?
