• Hello there!

Maybe someone is using the Unsleepable Theme which is based on the K2 Theme. I have two questions:

    1. How can I change the background from grey to an image (ie. bg.jpg)?

    2. How can I show more posts on the main page. Currently it shows only the last 10 post, but I would like to show more.

    Thanks a lot
    Yours,
    Rene

Maybe I don’t explain exactly what I like to do or no one understands what I want but if I just delete the “url(‘images/top-bg.gif’)….” than the black bar at the top is only in the middle, but I want to keep it the way it is (meaning: over the whole page).

Sure I can try to add:
“background-image: url(….)…” but this one is not shwon on the site.

Again the light grey background to the right and left should be replaced with the new background image – not the back bar at the top!

And again thanks for the help so far, that is really nice of you, though I am a bit frustrated that it doesn’t work ?? .

I don’t think you can stipulate two background images. The only workaround I can think of is to elongate top-bg.gif to include some sort of graphics under the black. Or perhaps you could stipulate a black background and position your image to start scrolling where the black stops. But I’m afraid my CSS isn’t good enough to tell you how to do it.

I see what you mean now.

I’ve actually tried to tweak on the unsleepable theme to suit what you want.

Unfortunately, you can’t place an image on the background with just a few simple tweak, it will affect the header, just like what you said, the black thick border wont run through the entire top. However, you can still change the background colour by replacing #ccc to your desire colour.

I also tried to replace the order of <div>header and <div>page in header.php, and change the width of header to 100%, this is what I get -> https://niceric.com/simplicity/ , but by doing so, you will be able to add background image with the top black thick border still run through the entire page.

Changing CSS to your own taste can be frustrating, but also very rewarding.

Thanks thats what I was looking for. I gonna try it this way and otherwise I have to stick with the grey background.

    Cheers!
