Where can I change the text I’ve underlined in the screenshot. I find no template for the Unsubscribe page and the page itself is just a shortcode.

That default text string shouldn’t be so terse! Maybe something like, “I do not want to receive non-order related emails.”

The word “again” is an angry command response in this context and isn’t very professional.

    Hey @midipedalboards!

Can you link the URL of the page so I can take a closer look?
What shortcode you used to add that? Is it related to a CRM extension?

    sure https://completecpr.com/unsubscribe/

Page was created by CRM Settings > Mail > Unsubscribe Settings

    Shortcode within the page:

    [jetpackcrm_unsubscribe]

This was all created by JetPack CRM. it also had very a very poorly styled set of sidebar widgets below what you see. I git rid of those by removing the sidebar widgets in the customizer.

    Hi @midipedalboards

Interesting. The unsubscribe setting doesn’t show up like that for me, nor does that text (“”do not send me non-order emails again” appear anywhere in the code for the Jetpack CRM plugin.

The Unsubscribe page isn’t created by CRM in the Mail Settings – it just allows you to specify the name of an already-created page which contains the [jetpackcrm_unsubscribe] shortcode.

It’s used when someone unsubscribes to your (CRM-sent) emails – they’re directed to that page when clicking on unsubscribe link in the email to confirm the unsubscription.

In your case, it looks like what you’re seeing is part of the WooCommerce Follow Up Emails extension:

So you may want to reach out to them for help. In general, for changing text like this, the Loco Translate plugin can be helpful (to ‘translate’ the text from English->preferred English).

You can likely also customize the template (..templates/email-unsubscribe.php), but see their documentation for more help with that.

I agree that it appears to be interference from the Follow-Up Emails extension. But When accessing the unsubscribe page for it’s internal mailing list it doesn’t even look the same.

I think what I’ll try to do is get the CRM to point to a page with a different name. Theoretically that should fix that.

But that text … Follow Up Emails really shouldn’t do that!

    Cheers

Yes this is a conflict. I changed the slug of the current Unsubscribed page and it looks as expected now … blank! As it should be by default ??

The Unsubscribe page isn’t created by CRM in the Mail Settings – it just allows you to specify the name of an already-created page which contains the [jetpackcrm_unsubscribe] shortcode.

But the Unsubscribed page was created by JetPack CRM see image:

If a page called Unsubscribed doesn’t exist you can specify one here via the drop down list or have the CRM create it … which is what I did because even though there is a conflict with Follow-Up Emails the URL it looks for to unsubscribe from it’s internal mailing list(s) doesn’t look for a “page”. If I delete the Unsubscribed page the CRM looks for the Follow-Up Emails still works as in my screenshot earlier.

Follow-Up Emails uses this URL and wirks even if the Unsubscribed page doesn’t exist:

But the fix is just change the page slug on the Unsubscribed page.

I would submit to the developers that their Unsubscribed page creation thing should use a different slug too, for example “crm-unsubscribed” so that JetPack CRM does conflict with others.

    Hi @midipedalboards

As always, thank you for being thorough and reporting issues here ??

At this point, I’ll forward your findings to our developers to see if we can make JPCRM’s Unsubscribe feature compatible with WooCommerce’s Follow-up Emails extension. We’ll reach out when we know more. Thanks!
