Unsure How To Edit Site

  • I have no background in website design or coding, but I wanted to create a website of my own. I used godaddy.com to buy a domain name, and I’m also using it for hosting services. I installed WordPress, and my website (orangeskycomics.com) is definitely up, but I have no idea how to edit it or alter it. I downloaded wordpress and checked the readme, but the installation didn’t work at all- I just got directed to a page with a bunch of computer language stuff I didn’t quite understand. If it helps, I’m using Windows 7. Please help me!

  • If you’re site is up and I can see that it is, I wouldn’t bother with downloading WordPress and poking around in there. Just login to your site at https://orangeskycomics.com/wp-admin, pick a theme, add your content, perhaps add a few widgets, plugins and just play that way. That’s a lot to do before you start looking at code.

    If you are feeling adventurous, you might want to create a child theme or perhaps look into building your own theme, but I would stick to one of the many free ones out there.

    i select a new theme for my web site. there is already a Home page, but i create my own home page. how i delete the by default Home page? My website link is https://servicespak.com .
