You are correct. When someone is unsubscribed, they are unsubscribed from all categories they have previously subscribed to. The intent is that if a user wants to unsubscribe (and they have previously subscribe to 3 separate categories on 3 separate forms) they can just unsubscribe once. Then, if they desire to be subscribed again to one of those categories, they can just resubscribe to that one category.

This would be a nice feature and I think I have an elegant and easy to implement solution. It will be looked into.

    Thank you for the request.

It would be great to show diferent links for the categories of the article that are in common with the user subscriptions and a full unsuscribe link like now… ??

I should contribute if there exists a public gihub or something…

Are you planning to do this?

are you planning to opensource the code?

it would be great to be able to clone in github and be able to suggest the changes from my own…

We are not planning on moving our plugins to GitHub as of yet. We are also not planning on adding new features to OSD Subscribe unless if I feel inclined to do it myself in my free time. Instead we will only release small updates and bug fixes. As a development team, we are no longer using this plugin because it is considered bad practice to send newsletter/subscription emails from within WordPress. Instead we are using a free MailChimp account to send the emails and maintain subscriber lists. We then are integrating that with our OSD MailChimp Forms plugin to provide a more reliable way of sending messages.

With that being said. You are more than welcome to change the plugin how you see fit. If you would like to send your changes to us, I can look over them and possibly implement them. We appreciate your willingness to work as a contributor.
