I’m having issues with my page load times and when I look in coverage (in the google dev tools), the all-in-one-seo-pack has a lot of “unused code”…95.5% of the code in fact. I’ve checked and I am in fact using SEO, I’ve filled out almost all the fields available for the free version of the plugin. Is there a way to reduce the amount of code that’s being pulled in unnecessarily, to help bring my load times down?

@nikkise are you considering load times in the WP admin panel or on the front-end of your site? If so, are you measuring load times when you’re logged into your site or not?

All in One SEO will load various assets on the frontend for e.g. the SEO Preview modal that we offer through our admin bar menu, but these assets do not load for regular site visitors, search engines, etc. so the only way to accurately measure your page load time on the front-end is by doing this when you’re not logged into the site.

If you are doing this on the front-end while logged out, it might be good for you to share some screenshots or record a video so that we know what files are being loaded. Either way, the files that AIOSEO are unlikely to affect general load times on the front-end of the site.

    Hi @nikkise ,

We haven’t heard back from you in a couple of days. I’m going to go ahead and close this thread for now. But if you’d like us to assist, please feel welcome to continue the conversation.

    Thanks!
