    @ram:

    Ads or attribution is nothing new (since we have thousands of hours invested in the code), but, you have available “Screen Options” in the toolbar at Dashboard page and just uncheck this widget if you wish to eliminate the ad from the dashboard.

    There are two kind of unwanted ads in this plugin:

    1) ad-widget in home page of dashboard
    2) ads in right sidebar in all settings pages

    I would like to off all of them. Thanks.

    You will be able to disable the second by purchasing SEO Ultimate Premium.
    We are setting up the backend now and will let you know when it’s available.

    Please read WordPress Plugin Guidelines here: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/about/guidelines/

    Rule 7:

    * All images and scripts shown should be part of the plugin. These should be loaded locally.

    (your ads loads from external site)

    * In general, things like banner or text link advertising should not be anywhere in a plugin, including on its settings screen.

    (you have a lot of big nozy banners across all settings pages)

    Rule 11:

    Plugins should not hijack the blog admin… Any form of “nagging” is absolutely prohibited.

    Also ram108:

    We have a framework and due to collision there’s no settings page to disable ads on last version of SEO Ultimate but it’s coming back on Settings > SEO Ultimate > then you will have option to disable the 2nd, there.

    Thanks, Jeffrey.

    If I understand you right, with next update we will have an option to disable all the ads?

    Anyway, all the ads should be disabled by default according to Plugin Guidelines.

    @ram108

    Yes, on next update you will have option to toggle.

    But, if that is the case, then why does your plugin do it? Meaning have attribution then offer to remove on paid version?

    I don’t think that putting link to donate page is bad idea. It is common practice.

    But not the way you did it with banners in admin page. These can lead to plugin removal from WordPress repositary.

    PS.
    And yes, my plugin was removed because of attribution (even not the link).
