This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.

If that doesn’t fix the issue, you may be hacked.

Take a deep breath and carefully follow this guide. When you’re done, you may want to implement some (if not all) of the recommended security measures.

If you’re unable to clean your site(s) successfully, there are reputable organizations that can clean your sites for you. Sucuri and Wordfence are a couple.

Hacked is probably the most likely issue however, one other issue I experienced a while ago was a rogue browser extension. It inserted ads into pages from within the browser.

Try viewing the site from another PC or browser – do the ads still show up? If so – you’ve been hacked – if not, then the problem is with your browser – it has a dodgy extension: https://www.howtogeek.com/213096/how-do-you-find-chrome-extensions-that-inject-ads-into-web-pages/
