Unwanted email after uninstalling

  • I downloaded the plugin to diagnose a problem with another popular SMTP plugin to see if I got the same error message/data. When I deactivated and deleted it I was greeted with an email a day later saying:

    Hi,

    My name is Saad. I’m the lead developer of Post SMTP Mailer. I’ve noticed that you installed the plugin and then uninstalled it fairly quickly.
    I guess we’ve done something wrong – sorry. Would you be so kind to tell me what was the reason for uninstalling the plugin? I want to make sure we fix that for our future users.

    I wonder what other data they scrapped other than the admin email while it was active. Zero class.
