Have a look at my latest post (April 8, 2011):

    https://thesolitaryangler.com/

The Title should be “Van on TV” no quotes – NOT TV”>Van on TV

    Any idea what’s going on?

I recently made the domain name thesolitaryangler.com point to thesolitaryangler.com/blog

    …could that cause this?

  • I think that the problem has to do with the span class that you added to your title. I see this in the source code – <span class=”caps”>TV</span>

Try re-typing the title in and that should get rid of the span that you have in there.

Try editing it in the html view.

Thanks for trying, but no, there’s no extra stuff in the title when I post.

I even tried trashing the original and posting again, fresh. Same thing.

It must be an error in the theme or wordpress files.

I’m not sure where to look, but I’m carefully snooping around. I’ve been testing with a Draft, and the problem only seems to crop up when I end the title with a cap… “Van on Tv” works. “Van on TV!” doesn’t. Anyway, knowing this, I can work around the problem.

If you like, try ending a post title with a capital letter and see what happens. Any help is appreciated.

do you have a plugin activated that adds a span to each occurrence of two or more capital letters?

    does this come from fancybox?

    You got it!

Not Fancybox, though – wp-Typography was the culprit.

    Thanks to all!

Actually, it was a theme/plugin incompatibility.

wp-Typography had an explanation and a fix on their web site, if anyone’s having a similar issue:
