when I use the word ‘reclame’ I get ‘réclame’ that had something to do with ‘Intelligent Character Replacement’. When I deselect ‘Smart diacritics’ then its reclame again. It seems that I cannot change that inside ‘Intelligent Character Replacement’.
I think this word ‘reclame’ must have be the same qualifications as the words: resume/résumé, divorce/divorcé, and expose/exposé etc

What language is your content in and what language did you select for “Smart diacritics”?

Sorry I didn’t mention that, the language is Dutch and I tried both languages (English and German).

Well, neither is designed for Dutch, so the results may or may not valid. However, the French noun réclame with the meaning of “advertisement” is spelled with only one accent aigu.

That’s right I get réclame (with one aigu) instead of reclame both words have not the same meaning the French réclame is indeed advertisment but in Dutch it is reclame what means commercial.
So do I have to wait for a Dutch option for “Smart diacritics”? Or is there a other way to get the word ‘reclame’?
I cannot use another word for reclame in Dutch. ??

Well, I won’t be making a language file for Dutch as I don’t speak that language. My advice is to not enable that feature for unsupported languages. However, if you feel up to it, you can create a new diacritics replacement file based on en-US.json and put it into <plugin>/vendor/mundschenk-at/php-typography/diacritics (or submit it as PR on GitHub).

Ok, I shall look in to it and decide what to do.
In the mean time thanks for your ideas.
