Unwanted notifications

Since I added the new update you pushed this week (7.2.3), unwanted notifications are firing. Specifically, when I update a post it is also pushing out my New Post notification.

I’m guessing it might have to do with this part of the changelog, but don’t know how to fix it:

“[Changed] Post published action to generic “published_{post_type}” action which allows to trigger the notification when publishing from custom statuses.”

I have checked to ensure the trigger for my new post notification is “Post Published” but it still fires when I simply update a post.

Any ideas?
