Unwanted styling of the lastest post on the index only

    I am having an issue with WordPress. The latest post on only the front page (index) is not using the Post class that I made for all posts, which is necessary for the page to look right. Instead, it’s using it’s own entry-summary class, and it messes up the page. Why might something like this happen? On the read settings in wp-admin, it’s set to full entry for all posts.

    Also, you should know that same post looks fine and takes the Post class on every other category that post applies to.

    I’ve tried putting a counter on index.php that applies to only the first post. It worked but it doesn’t take care of my div issues that not taking the Post class causes.

    Never mind, I just fixed it with a work-around. I used that counter on index.php to put a div with my Post class around the latest post. Meh, it works. Isn’t that weird though?

    there is a broken html tag in the code, before the first post:

    <hr style="position:relative; left:-20px;/>

    this might have stopped the right formatting (?)
