Hi, I am using the updown_crystal arrows to vote. I have replaced the graphics in the plugin image folder to suit my theme a bit better but I’m having an issue.

I’ve created and replaced the following graphics:

    • rating_1_off
    • rating_1_on
    • rating_1_over
    • rating_2_off
    • rating_2_on
    • rating_2_over

Everything works fine, except when a user has voted (no matter if they have voted up or down) only the ‘rating_1_on’ graphic gets show. I would expect if I voted a post up the ‘rating_2_on’ graphic would be shown to indicate which way I’d voted. Instead, no matter which way I vote once the vote is cast the only rating_1_on changes.

Can anyone tell me if what I’m expecting is not actually part of the plugin or if there’s some incompatibility with my theme perhaps?

    Thanks.

No, it doesn’t show what ratings you rated, it just shows the average.

Ah ok, is there any way to get at that data? Is it even stored?

Yes the data is in the wp_ratings log, but how would you know if the data belongs to the current user? IP is not accurate. Unless your site only allows registered users to rate and you can query the table via the username

That’s how I have it set, I only want to allow registered users to vote on posts, so that method would be fine. Is there any chance you could help with the code? I’m afraid I wouldn’t really know where to start. Any help would be very much appreciated.

    Thanks

Sorry, I will not be able to help you with the code even if it is a paid freelance job because of time (I have a full time startup job and it leaves me no time to do other stuff)
