Hey there, got a mail from Google Developers today informing me about upcoming changes in Google Calendar api v3 in March – concerning Events.watch, Events.list and Event type. Will you guys at Simple Calendar take care of all that is needed to further use it without problems? I am not able to understand the details, but I’m sure you are… Greetings, Heinzruhm

    Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

In regards to your question here, Google is going to add a filter for the event/watch endpoint. This is working like a watcher for an event so if any change is made in the event it will reflect on a site. We don’t have this feature in Simple Calendar. They are adding an param ‘eventTypes’ which will allow customers to filter events. We don’t have this type of option in our Simple Calendar plugin so this will not affect our functionality. In addition, this is an optional parameter so this will not break any running application for those who use the watch API endpoint.

    I hope this information helps.

    Kind Regards,

    John
