Upcoming changes in series 4

    Hello everyone,

    We have tested every new release of our plugin on the top 10 WordPress hosting companies.
    In series 3 of the plugin, we were using CURL to export/create a backup/import archive.
    During our tests, we had 100% success rate on all of the top hosting providers.
    After releasing the plugin, we received number of reports telling us that the plugin is stuck on “Unpacking archive” or “Done creating an empty archive”.
    The issue is mostly because the CURL request that triggers the next step in the export or import process is never executed. We found that some of the hosting providers out there put different restrictions on requests made with CURL.
    We decided to remove CURL from the plugin and to revert back to using AJAX as we were in series 2.

    I’d like to apologize to anyone affected by the changes we made in series 3 of the plugin. We tried to help almost everyone who has sent us a support ticket to support at servmask.com.
    The issue is not that we have not tested the plugin or that we were “drunk when developing the new version”, although some of us try to reach the Ballmer peak.
    This is one of those issues that affects only 20-30% of all our users but you know about it only after you guys start sending us support requests.

    We are really grateful to everyone who has sent us a message to let us know of this problem.

    Series 4 with the fix will be released tomorrow, April 20th.

  • Do you have a time (UK) when this will be released as the service and support I am getting from yourselves is just non existent despite you saying on Friday that I would be dealt with that day. I have tried pretty much all the versions on the developer tab and nothing is working.

    Hello, It is currently April 21st, was the update delayed? Or am I looking in the wrong place for the new release?

    We have to delay the update for a bit, during testing we found 2 issues that we are currently addressing.

    You can send an email to support at servmask.com to get an early release.
