Upcoming Event in widget displaying as text

    Hello,

    I am using WordPress 3.5.1, and recently updated my Easel theme from 3.2.1 to 3.3.1. After the update, my upcoming event widget displays as text only, and does not display the upcoming event as before. My code is [events limit=1 time=start tweet=no]. I have simplified that code as well to just [events], however that also displays as text.

    Any thoughts or suggestions?

    Of course, after the panic settled, it hits me – I UPDATED THE PROFILE. My functions.php file was updated as well, which removed the add_filter(‘widget_text’, ‘do_shortcode’);. After re-adding, my upcoming event shows up properly.
