In the upcoming events shortcode view, how can I display just the first (or currently first) occurence of a recurring event? I do not want my list filled up with the same recurring events.

    Here is my site:

You will find the upcoming events in a widget area at the bottom of the front page.

Thank you so much for this USABLE calendar plugin. I believe yours is the 7th plugin I have tried and the first that had the options I needed and did not break other portions of my site.

That’s not really an option. The upcoming events shows whatever events are next coming up. It should only show the same recurring event if there aren’t enough other intervening events, however. If you have a busy event schedule, that shouldn’t generally be a problem.

Has it been a problem? It isn’t right now, based on having just looked at your home page, but that doesn’t mean much. ??

Well, it was a problem until I added items I didn’t particularly want to feature just to bump out the recurring ones. Thanks for your quick response. I will just tweak as I go to keep recurring ones only displaying once. Since I am the caretaker of the site it’s not an issue.
