    Hello JLHimes,

By default that list should show both the title and the date/time. Here is an example of the default view: https://wpshindig.com/events/list/

It sounds like your theme might not be compatible with TEC out of the box though. You could test that by switching to a different theme, like the default Twenty Fourteen, and seeing if it works. If so and you know WP theming, you can still create a custom page template for your theme to make it compatible. Or, if that’s not part of your skillset you might need to consider using a different theme with The Events Calendar.

This tutorial might also be of help in integrating TEC with a certain theme: Themer’s Guide

    Cheers!

    Thanks for replying

Totally upset right now – I’m using genesis with Dynamik…. My entire business is riding on the events… I was planning on going PRO with you all – but now I’m wondering if that would even work? Would you guys be able to walk me through what I need to do (with using genesis-Dynamik, because it’s a must at this point) – to get that upcoming list to show proper? I don’t want to sink all that money into going PRO, just to find out that it won’t work either…. Super frustrated that everything else is working just fine, except for the name of the upcoming event- and that alone would make me have to consider changing my entire theme….

    Thanks for your help.

I followed the link you provided, but it seems like you were showing me what “list view” under the events page looks like. That part is fine for me – the problem is the “upcoming events” that I threw into a widget, just to show a glimpse of the upcoming events … not the actual events page….

Well, I went to my people in the dynamik forum – and none of them have had the same issue. Their stuff is displaying perfectly. I deactivated all of my plugins and it didnt change anything – so now I’m wondering, is this a multisite bug or something????

You may use these HTML tags and attributes: <abbr title=””> <acronym title=””> <b>

    <cite> <del datetime=""> <i> <q cite=""> <strike>

Yea, and it just kicks out comments – The idea of using a different calendar plugin makes me sad – I love Modern Tribe – but, it seems like I’ve run into a ton of issues.

Still jacked up when I switched to 2014. I tried removing and reinstalling the plugin 4 times…. I’m all commented out now – your turn!

    Howdy again jlhimes,

In your other thread you posted a link to your site. When I view your site I see the event title as a link, and then just underneath of it I see the date. If you do not see the event title/link in addition to the date, then you might be experiencing a browser glitch. If you need to customize the widget though that can be done by following our themer’s guide and applying it’s instructions to the widget template files: Themer’s Guide

That area above your comment box is actually part of the Genesis Theme’s comment area. Genesis added it to show what HTML you can use in comments. Many WP themes have that.

Hopefully that all makes sense. Cheers!
