Can you tell me a specific link on that page that isn’t working and what you expect it to do?

    Best,

    Hi Joe,

It seems to be happening on the recurring events that have been in the calendar for quite a long time. Each of these events open properly in the calendar view/page https://visitescondido.com/event-calendar/

    December 24, 2015 – Spiritivity Paint & Sip Classes @ N/A
The event is not found. Link opens to Jan 1, 1970 date.

December 24, 2015 – Open Mic Night at Kettle Coffee and Tea @ 5:30 pm
404 – not found. should goto the calendar event or the event post

December 24, 2015 – TNF – Thursday Night by Candlelight at Vinz Wine Bar @ 5:30 pm
    This link is working properly

    Thanks,

What is the link template tag in use in your upcoming events widget?

The URL is clearly wrong in the upcoming events list, but I’m not sure why. Are you on the latest version of My Calendar?

    Version 2.4.12 on WP 4.4

We were using the link_title tag.
I’ve changed to linking_title tag and have things working predictably now.

The problem occurs when an event is updated. After the initial event save, an event id was generated which we added to the Event URL field.

Whenever we changed/updated the event, the event ID would change and auto-increment for all occurrences. The event id’s that were in the Upcoming events widget were the original event id which became obsolete whenever the event was changed/updated.

This id’s are changed every time an update is saved.

So you were using the event URL field as a way to create a link to the event other than the native event link – is that correct?

The individual instance IDs are changed in several cases, including if the starting date or recurring pattern is changed. The root event ID generally shouldn’t be, however. I can’t think of a case where that happens, off hand.
