Upcoming Events Widget shows wrong Date

  • Hello,
    when i use the Upcoming Events Widget in my sidebar with the following shortcode it shows no date: {{thumbnail}}{{title|permalink}}{{date}}.
    If i use this shortcode: {{thumbnail}}{{title|permalink}}{{startdate | date(‘l d. F Y’)}} it shows 01. Januar 1970 while the date must be 09. September 2016.
    The date and time in WP-Settings is correct and all event are displayed with the correct date on the Events-Site.
    As the Site is online i use a shortcode in a Text-Widget in the meantime. But it shows always the next event of the month when changing the month in the paginated Event-Site.
    Do you have any idea how to get the problem fixed?
