Upcoming WP caching superstar plugin

  • I’m using this plugin since I saw it on product hunt and you guys are onto something. The dangerous thing is, this plugins seems noob friendly but it is everything but. Most WP users are dumbos and this thing has potential to severely hurt not only the technical side of things, but also the website SEO, since miss-configuration might lead to 500 errors and other delicacies. I know my way around logs and debugging, but prepare to onslaught of 1-star reviews when this plugin gets some following.

    Funnily enough, my website speed score on desktop actually dropped using ninja. I hope you guys will iron out the quirks and offer complete un-stripped caching solution soon.

    I’m also very curious what your monetization strategy is, can you shed some light on this one? Before I invest more time into this plugin I would like to know what I’m looking at down the road.

    You’re right, even though we’re trying to make it as simple and fool-proof as possible, this plug-in is nothing less than an advanced one. It’s not very hard to get in trouble, particularly playing Advanced settings. That’s why we implemented a roll-back system, which should bring the site to its original setup when the plugin is uninstalled. We tested that throughly, but let us know if you end up testing that and come across to any bugs.

    That’s also true, some settings seem to drop the score, depending on what other setting combinations are used. I’d suggest trying different combinations until you get the best result possible. Unfortunately it’s not very easy to understand why that may happen, but we’ll continue iterating and improving ??

    That’s a good question. At the moment we focus on providing value, so no set monetization plans. In any case, we’ll always have a free version that does a great job for 80% of our users (beginners and novice). For monetization, I like the idea of a Pro version. Such version would have more advanced features for those who are more serious about optimization. Would love to know if you have any ideas/thoughts on that ??

    @pagespeed my pleasure! I help with support of The SEO Framework, I know very well that from 1000 happy users, maybe 1 will write a review… But 1 of 10 will write negative one.

    Currently, I use mostly W3 + Autoptimize. This checkbox separates me from that sweet sweet 100/100 Google PageSpeed score. I know money-making in freemium world is tough, but I just can’t justify $99/website for this one feature.

    WP Rocket is more affordable — I have 50+ websites, so converting all of my customers would make it straight up cheap. The problem is, I’m able to achieve 90% of it’s features for free. Plus I don’t want to spend 2 weeks explaining all my customers why they have to pay for another thing. Pair it with no trial at all, and you are looking at business opportunity — especially small time WordPress bloggers, or people with fewer installs.

    For me, 2018 will be the year when I’ll solve the damn caching problem and since W3 is extremely expensive, it is now between you and WP Rocket. I wish you both luck! ??
