updatable plugin

Hi,

i’m currently writing a plugin and would like to make it updatable (ie, in dashboard plugin list user gets notified of an upate).

I’ve checked tutorials and on the net but can’t find anything.

Also i’m presuming when a user does go to update the plugin, that the new version will be the full plugin and just overwrite the old files?
