    Just to confirm…

This issue is present with Version 4.1.3.1. The original issue that was reported was that we were unable to edit products. This is another bug where new orders are blank.

    Hello @devksec @thewebatom and @cgscomputers

I am sorry to read about this problem. Unfortunately we cannot reproduce this issue in our test environment, so I need more information from your end, such as:

    1) Do you have the WooCommerce extension installed or no?
    2) Are these new installations or upgrades?
    3) If you have upgraded, from which version of WP Activity Log are you upgrading?
    4) Do you have a staging website on which we can reproduce and test the issue?

Would appreciate if you can please send us all the details at [email protected] so we can troubleshoot and fix this issue at the earliest possible.

I am sorry for the inconvenience this issue is causing.

    1) Woocommerce is setup and running on a multisite. Currently active on 2 subsites but not network activated. The following extensions are installed are would be key to review as they would have impacted the order (The most relevant to the issue order was the woocommerce wholesale plugin). The blank order was a wholesale user.

    • Payment Gateways by User Roles for WooCommerce
    • Stock Sync for WooCommerce
    • WooCommerce Product Bundles
    • WooCommerce TM Extra Product Options
    • WooCommerce Wholesale Prices
    • WooCommerce Wholesale Prices Premium
    • 2) Nothing has changed apart from the upgrade to 4.1.3.1. We had orders with 4.1.3 without the same issue
      3) version 4.1.3 to 4.1.3.1
      4) Unfortunately this is not currently available. It’s a recent build which doesn’t have the PPI stripped out of it yet.

Thank you for the details @devksec

The fact that it worked on 4.1.3 but not on 4.1.3.1 is a good pointer for us. We are looking into this issue now.

We had orders come in without any issues on 4.1.3 but the first order on 4.1.3.1 had this issue.

The only key differences between the two orders was the logger version and the customer was a wholesale user.

Can you please confirm if you installed the WooCommerce extension when you upgraded to 4.1.3 / 4.1.3.1?

    (@devksec)

No we hadn’t installed it when we did the update.

I’ve just installed from within “Enable/Disable Events” now. I’ll reactivate the plugin and see if the issue is resolved.

    Will post back updates here.

    Hello everyone,

We have just released WP Activity Log 4.1.3.2, which addresses this WooCommerce issue. Please update your copy of the plugin to fix this issue.

Also, if you would like to keep a record of the changes on your WooCommerce store, from now on you have to install the Activity Log for WooCommerce extension.

Read the 4.1.3 release notes for an explanation on why we have pulled out the WooCommerce sensor from the main plugin and released it as an extension.

    In regard to this problem:

    1. First and foremost, I would like to excuse myself unreservedly for the inconvenience this issue has caused you and your business.

    2. As many of you might know, we extensively test our plugins before we release them. Though WooCommerce is a very complex plugin, with a lot of extensions of its own, and it is impossible to test and simulate every possible scenario. As a matter of fact, we still cannot reproduce this issue in our test environment. Though with the help of a few users, we managed to run the tests and confirm the fix.

    3. We are not using this as an excuse. We’ve learnt a lot from this mistake, and we will apply what we’ve learnt to improve our current testing platforms and procedures.

    4. Unfortunately there is no way you can retrieve the missing orders data. Though not all is lost. At least, you have the customers’ contact details, so you can contact them to verify the order. Let’s look at the bright side of things; it’s an excuse to get in touch with a possibly new customer. Nothing beats personalized service.

    5. If you have been affected by this problem, and you would like to share more details about your setup (which help us better understand what happened), give us feedback, vent out and send a nasty email (I understand you), please send me an email at [email protected]. I’d like to hear from you and I will reply to every email individually.

    6. To make up for this I’ll give you a free 1-year license (or extend your existing license) of the premium edition.

Thank you very much for all those who reported the issue and those who have helped. I really appreciate your patience.
