Hi, I tried to update from 4.5.4 to 4.6.1, but I have this error: “Your wordpress database is already up-to-date”.

I can’t login to dashboard, please help me.

  • I too have some 4.5.4 sites that I have yet to transition to 4.6.1, but in the past I have had issues where some files in the update had some corruption in them. However, you issue could be something as simple as the site needs time to run the changes, I’ve had that issue as well, or something where you might have to manually update the WordPress files via FTP

Try MANUALLY re-updating. Download a fresh copy of the WordPress .zip file to your computer, unzip it, and use that to copy up all files and folders EXCEPT the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory. You may need to delete the old wp-admin and wp-includes folders and files on your server before uploading the new ones. Please read the Manual Update directions first.
Backup: If you haven’t already done, always backup everything (including your database) before doing any actions, just in case something really goes wrong. You can never have enough backups!

Hi guys, I solved the problem with a “flush cache” of Memcached.
    Thanks for your reply!
