Update 4.4 Cannot edit or post content

Exactly the same problem here… never ever before have i had an issue with WP, regardless of plugins i have, etc… But 4.4 did it for me… have tried so far, all solutions suggested with no success…

Try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Twenty Fifteen theme to rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

If none of those make any difference, are you running any anti-virus or web security software? If so, would you please try with those temporarily deactivated? I believe this was due to my Bitdefender AV software. Once I disabled it I was able to use WordPress normally again. And this morning it is working fine even with my AV software active.

Disabled bitdefender but now Vis Editor is broke.

Bitdefender has release an update to fix this.
