    Automatic updates can not be performed because WordPress 3.5.2 requires at least PHP 5.2.4 and your server is using older versions of PHP 4.4.2.

  • I’m afraid there is no easy way around this – you need to contact your web hosting company and request when they will be updating their version of PHP on their server – 4.4x is very old. They potentially run PHP 4.x and 5.x – it may be that they just need to upgrade you.
