    Hello,

I have a problem with updating a WC plugin every time. The WP site just crashed and I have to back it up.

    How to fix this?

    Thank you.

    Hi @maxlablife,

It’s most likely that there’s a conflict between the latest WooCommerce version with your theme or one of your plugins.

Thus, kindly disable all plugins and switch to a default WordPress theme like Twenty Twenty-One. You can then try to update/activate WooCommerce and see if all goes well.

If the site doesn’t crash, you’ll know that it was caused by your theme or one of your plugins. Reactivate them one by one till you find the one causing your site to crash.

    * You will want to do this on a test/staging site. If you don’t have one already, your hosting company might offer one as part of your package. Alternatively, you can use a free plugin like https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-staging/

Let us know how it goes.

    Thanks.

If it’s happening every time then it would suggest a server issue – have you asked your hosting to check server logs to see if anything is being flagged in the error logs?

    Hi,
thank you @abwaita and @seank123 for replies.

I did ask my host and they said it is WC plugin what causing a problem.
I asked theme support also if there is a problem with theme.

    Now I am waiting answer.

    Hey again!

I would also chime in and say that your host likely has a log of fatal errors.

Looking at those will help you narrow down the root cause, based on where the error is coming from, etc.
