Update Donor Tab

    Hello,

    Next to a project description, i would suggest to add an update tab to let project owners post news/updates. This is a basic feature that is currently missing. Also, let donors comment on crowdfunding projects/updates. Thanks for making this nice plugin open-source ??

    thanks for reaching out and your interest in Donation Platform for WooCommerce. I am happy to add news/updates as an upcoming feature to the roadmap: Roadmap

    The updates should look something like this, right? GoFundMe example or WP Crowdfunding example

    While I’m working on the implementation, you can use Custom Product Tabs for WooCommerce to add an “Updates” tab and use the text editor (or maybe even a timeline shortcode from another plugin) to post updates about your Fundraiser.

    I’ll probably put the commenting option on the shelf for now, as a very similar functionality can already be implemented with WooDiscuz.

    Yes, i like the fact that GoFundMe allows project owners to share updates with images and even videos. It’s a nice feature. A tab display is however maybe better organized than a popup (imo).

    I take this opportunity to share another idea: add an explore page that shows the progress bar of each project – something i couldn’t see on your demos.

    Agree, I am also in favour of an extra tab, which I think looks neater.
    And I will implement your second suggestion as well. In fact, this is already part of an ongoing process, the support for fundraising goals and end dates is only available since version 1.1.0. The next logical step is to be able to display these goals in different places. For now, however, the data can only be displayed via the shortcode wcdp_progress (https://wcdp.jonh.eu/documentation/usage/progress-bar-shortcode/).
