Update and database issue

I switched a flash site over to wordpress back in July and the site contains a separate database where you can buy tickets. Everything was working great. A few weeks ago I did an automatic update to the latest version of wordpress and now the ticket database isn’t functioning properly. It takes forever to load and a lot of the feature on the ticket page don’t work. I keep getting a bunch of server load errors as well. Is this related? How do I fix this? Any help would be great!
