• Hello Friends,

I upgraded the Smush it yesterday, but had a conflict issue with another plugin that I use for many years, called Scissors and Watermarks, to resize the images full and stamp the watermark on the pictures.

Since the update the other plugin failed to characterize the images with our symbol with watermarks, The worst is that it broke definitively. I tried to uninstall, reinstall each separately, and yet another plugin does not re-stamp the images.

I ask for help because the two plugins are of great importance to our work.

Thank you, I await your help!

What exactly does this mean? What is broken, smushing or watermarking?

WIth smush deactivated, do new images get watermarked?

Oh, and is the problem only with auto-smush on? I would think turing that off and doing an occassional bulk smush would get around any issues.

Hello, first I want to thank for the answer.

The smush it was disabled for some time on my panel. Yesterday I updated to the new version, I enabled, and auditioned in an existing image in the panel and everything went normally. So I started to make posts including new images for them to be compressed by the plugin and that’s when I realized that the plugin watermarks, which I use for many years, stopped working on new images posted after enabling Smush it. I tried to disable Smush it and post a new image, but the watermarks not returned more running. I tried everything, reinstalled the plugin, I disabled all other plugins, removed the smush it, and nothing brought the function marks the water back.

As the Smush it and the Scissors and Watermarks plugins work at the time the photo is sent to the panel, I think it may have corrupted in some way to apply the watermarking function. The other functions of the plugin are operating normally.

I ask for help, because I’ve tried everything!

    I will be very grateful!

I can’t see any way that this could cause a conflict with newly uploaded images after you’ve deactivated it. It doesn’t change anything in the file structure or leave any permanent changes anywhere. There must be something else changed, maybe with the settings of your other plugin?

    Hello Aaron!
I want to thank you for answering my question.

This has happened is very strange. I have not changed any settings in the plugin that broke. He simply ceased to perform the function of stamping images with a watermark so I updated and I enabled WP Smush. The other plugin functions remain normal.

On the same day, did any other configuration change beyond re-use the Smush it, which makes me believe that it was a conflict.

I even could use another plugin for watermarking function, but it already deals with the old images clippings and anyway I would have to keep this the additional functions that my website needs use.

If you have any other guess or hint of what might have occurred, your help will be very welcome.

    Thank you for your cooperation!
