• The most recent shortcodes update has broken some of my shortcodes. Specifically code from Shopify that created Buy buttons. Where I once had code, I now see only a pair of comment tags /**/

    Other codes seem unaffected.

And all of my shortcodes show a new published date that matches when I ran the update.

What should I do? Is the code for my Shopify buttons permanently gone? Or is there a way to recover this?

No worries. If you are using JavaScript sometime durign the upgrade the script/style tags are stripped by wordpress.

This is a known issue and Im fixing it.

Meantime, please remove v5.x and download and install x4.6 from this page https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/shortcoder/advanced/

Thanks. We went ahead and rebuilt our shortcodes. Will this upgrade preserve what we’ve done, or do we need to copy all of our codes before upgrading?

Also — it would be very helpful if there was a way to export all of our shortcodes for safekeeping.

Upgrading to v5.0.4 will forcefully pull back the shortcode content you had in v4.x.

    Import/export option is available.

You can find it in Tools –> Import/Export and select shortcoder.

In your case, you can do export of the shortcodes and import them later if needed.

    Thanks,
    Aakash
