Update Category without replacing

Hi I need some help here with importing new records but some records already exists but with different category. So basically I want to not only import new records but also add new category to existing records. Right now what the import does is create new records based on topic if it does not exists and also replaces existing categories for existing records rather than adding new category to existing categories.

Anyway around this?
