Update core does not work

I login to your control panel and take a look at the php error logs, and the apache error logs. You could also increase the max execution time on your server :

There are no php specific errors, there are no pearl specific errors, max execution time is 30 in php options and 300 in wp config.
There are some 303 errors but not at the time of the update attempts.

It happens in all WP installations (one fresh, for testing), it seems to be something much more general.

303s are pretty unusual.
Make sure you have no cache being applied to your site – either from the WordPress install, or from your host. Make sure you purge the cache as well.

It happens in all installation on that server ?
That could also indicate your PHP version. You can run php -v if you have ssh access, or just check your control panel.

– put your site into maintenance mode :

– disable or delete your Autoptimize plugin
– update all your out of date plugins
– add this code to a file called phpoutput.php and upload it to the root of your site :
<?php phpinfo(); ?>
– hit the file in your browser at https://gsmreview.ro/phpoutput.php, and check the php version and directives such as max_execution_time
– then try the core update

If it still fails, update wordpress manually :
