Update corrupts colors

  • Wordpess and Twenty Twenty One both updated yesterday, and now the colors on my website are corrupted. I had edited my functions.php to add more colors to the palette but now when I select Colour while editing a Gutenberg block the palette shows 11 discs as before, and hovering over them displays the name given to the colour (e.g.Red) but all discs are varying shades of grey. Blocks that were previously red text on a white background are now dark grey on a light grey background and virtually unreadable

    Since no-one has responded to my post I assume no-one else has experienced the same problem. Fortunately I use BackWPup so I have been able to restore previous versions of the website. I have done this repeatedly, and after each it works correctly until I update Twenty Twenty One, which proves conclusively that the problem is not due to any plug-in updates.
