I just ran the latest update and got this error that shut my site down.

Call to undefined method Jetpack_Sync_Defaults::get_max_sync_execution_time() in /home/repam/public_html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/sync/class.jetpack-sync-sender.php on line 302

Please test the updates before you send them out.

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

    Sorry for all the trouble!

Please test the updates before you send them out.

We do, but unfortunately neither our beta testers nor our team ever got that error! I’m afraid I’ll need more information about your site configuration in order to understand what happened, and possibly reproduce and then fix the error.
Could you tell me what version of PHP is currently installed on your server? Could you also let me know the version of WordPress you use?

    Thanks!

I am guessing that this is related to the problems outlined in https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/version-4-3-2-update-crashed-the-blog/ so I’m answering here.

According to hosting provider ReadyHosting, my PHP/Python version is ImageMagick version 6.3.3.

@markjosephyoung This is most likely a different issue from what you reported in the other thread. I replied there with more info.

    Wordpress 4.6.1,
    PHP Version 5.5.36

    Dedicated Server
    128GB Ram
    40 Processors
    6X500gb SSD’s Raid 10

I do a full backup of all the plugins and DB before I run any updates and was able to restore a previous version of Jetpack.

It’s not processing power even though we are a busy site.

    Thanks for the extra details!

It looks like one of the required files is not loaded, or not present on your site.

Could you try to delete the entire Jetpack folder from your server, and reinstall from scratch?

Let me know how it goes.
