I just tried to update to the latest version and got this:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_taxonomies_for_attachments() in D:\hosting\10106030\html\wp-admin\menu.php on line 67

Any ideas on what to do – I’m very new to this and not technical at all.

  • This error unfortunately means your upgrade didn’t complete successfully, there’s no easy way around this – you’ll need to re-upload your WordPress files.

In order to do this, you’ll need to download the WordPress .zip file, and FTP all the files from the zip (other than wp-content) to your host, using the instructions here:

Thank you – In the end I just uninstalled and reinstalled through my host. Have learnt that I need to back up my files in future before I try to do any updates! Good job I didn’t have much on there yet.
