Hi – When trying to update W3 Total Cache, I keep getting a “bad gateway” message and failure. The plugin no longer appears in my list of plugins. I have tried installing directly from WP, and have also tried downloading the ZIP file and installing. Failing that, I tried the following as noted in another topic for a 502 error that suggested:

You can also manually delete the following:
    wp-content files and folders
    – cache folder
    – w3tc-config folder
    – object-cache.php (if exists)
    – advanced-cache.php (if exists)
    – dbcache.php (if exists)
    – upgrade folder
    – in wp-content/plugins/w3-total-cache

I tried this, same results. Thank you in advance.

Okay, well…after waiting several minutes and reloading the plugins page, I see that thet plugin is now listed. I was able to activate it without running into an error.

Not sure why it seems to be working now!

On the other hand, now I see I get the same message “Bad Gateway” when trying to update Yoast SEO. Any suggestions? Maybe this is beyond W3 Total Cache.

    Hello @wheezard

I am sorry about the issue you are experiencing and I am happy to assist you with this.
The 502 Bad Gateway error simply means that the server received an invalid response from an inbound server.
I would suggest checking this with your hosting provider as this seems related to the server since more than one plugin is having the same problem.

    Thanks!
