update failing

Your sliders are stored in the database so this problem shouldn’t affect them.

ok, I will send it there.
could you advise how to restore the sliders ? just proceed with installing the plugin again ? will this not erase the existing sliders ?

Ramona wrote to you in email, but I will tell it here too, that you can delete the current installation what you have either on your Plugins list, or directly on your ftp by deleting this folder:
/wp-content/plugins/smart-slider-3
and your sliders will stay, so you don’t have to worry about them!

Then I would suggest to do an installation from ftp instead:

because for example with Filezilla you can be sure, that all files are uploaded correctly. For step 1 you can download the installer from here: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/smart-slider-3/
