Just wanted to reach out because I think the current flow of updates may have a negative impact as a whole judging from personal experiences.

Over the past 8 days, there have been 6 releases. Of these, only the first two contained bugfixes (and one of them was only for pro users). Although I believe they are coming out with the best of intentions, it has left me wanting to replace the plugin on all the sites I manage, as it’s getting ridiculous.

Of course just saying it doesn’t help, so I’ll include my thought process as it may help explain why I look on all the updates as a negative impact ??

I feel that there’s a lack of vision and structure to the updates, if they had all been critical bugfixes, I would’ve understood the need to push them out in a timely manner. As it stands, they could’ve been consolidated into 2 quick updates, and then a bigger update after a few weeks. The rushed releases also means a lack of faith in the quality of the code that’s coming out.

That being said, I do love the UI and the presentation of data!

  • Them’s wise words, Syed and friends. Why not adopt a major/minor philosophy if keeping new features to a quarterly schedule and just cleaning up issues in-between, and not more than once a fortnight?

    +1

I always hesitate in recommending this plugin due to the frequency of updates. 6 releases in 8 days is ridiculous.
