Update for ACF 5

Thanks for the heads up, I wasn’t actually aware of the ACF 5 release yet.

I will have to take some time to look at how things have changed and see what it will/would take to bring this addon to the newest version.

Great idea! Just got ACF5 rolling on a new project and looking forward to using it. Nice work mattkeys!

Just FYI, I haven’t forgotten about this, just have been very busy at the day-job recently. I hope to investigate this in the coming weeks.

I am glad so many people want to see this brought to ACF 5. It is encouraging to see people are using it. I am finishing up my last week of full time employment so that I can go freelance and have more time for personal projects like this one.

I hope to get back to this plugin soon to provide the update that you are all looking for.

Unfortunately there’s not a huge amount of documentation yet about the ACF5 action hooks or the acf_render_field_setting function. Nonetheless, as a start I’ve got a version working with ACF5 in my project – though I’m sure it can be improved upon!

Just out of interest, have you thought about developing an ACF plugin for custom Fontastic icon fonts?

I haven’t heard of Fontastic, but I have considered making a ACF add-on that allows people to use their own custom font packs like ones generated at IcoMoon. Presumably the ones created by Fontastic would work the same way.

The project isn’t in development, but is on my list of ideas.
