Update from 2.4.7 to 2.5.1

Thanks for choosing WP Maintenance Mode and for providing us your feedback!

I’m sorry that recent changes don’t look helpful for your use cases.

We have made changes in the recent versions of the plugin to make the user experience better and give more flexibility in customizing the maintenance page, as you can now use Gutenberg editor or a page builder to easily customize the page and select a pre-created design or create your new custom one.

If you already had the WP Maintenance Mode plugin installed before, you can opt out of this change after the update of the plugin and keep everything as it was before (You see the Migrate button that could be clicked to switch to the new version and you also have a Rollback button after that in case you want to switch back). That’s why the layout was maintained as it was before, while using version 2.4.7, on your older sites, you probably opted out of this change. However, if you recently activated the plugin directly with the current version on a new site, it’s not possible to opt out of the change. However, what you can do is to disable Otter, the plugin that was installed along with WP Maintenance on your new site and that helps provide those pre-designed templates.

I’ve understand that if the plugin is already installed the layout remains the same but if is a fresh install the last version has the new layout..

For a new site that I’m building I’ve rollback to 2.4.7 and the plugin will be deactivate and removed when the site is ready.. I do not use Gutenberg anyway..
