Update from Astra 3.6.7 to 3.6.9 deleted the footer

  • After updating from Astra 3.6.7 to 3.6.9, the footer was missing on the entire site. The only way the footer will return is by keeping the old version of the astra theme. This is with WordPress 5.8.1

    I tried to replicate this but failed. Do you have the exact steps to replicate the issue?

    Apart from that, when checked your site above, the active theme is not Astra. Did you change it because of this issue?

    I have same problem.

    I have, like melomys, keeping the old version of astra theme and footer appears.
    This is a very serious mistake by Astra developers. Did they do it on purpose to make people buy the paid version or did they not do it on purpose.
    Either way, it’s really stupid, and how can you trust them after that?

    Hi @bsfherman – Yes I did change to a different theme because of this issue (and a few other issues)

    I think I did eventually figure out what the issue was (at least for me). I think there was problem between Astra and the Elementor plugin I was using

    Could you please let us know a bit more about the problem between the Astra theme and Elementor you spotted? Maybe by providing us the steps to replicate this, so we can try to reproduce it on our end.

    @karo0683, we are good people trying to create good stuff which, hopefully, could be useful and helpful for the other people in the community. If people decide to purchase the Astra Pro plugin, we thank them. If they decide to keep using only the Astra theme, we still thank them. We never do something intentional to break the users’ sites. There is no such thing. No, never will!

    We carefully develop and thoroughly test Astra before releasing any update. However, still, bug exists, we admit it. That’s why we need help from our users to report it to us so we can fix it ASAP and avoid the same in the future.

    So, instead of having a negative thought about us, it’s much better and more helpful if you can provide us the exact steps how we can reproduce the issue you are facing on our end.
