Update from ver. 3.2.2. to 3.3 runs forever.

Dear all,
when starting the update from version 3.2.2. to 3.3, the update runs forever.
When I leave the dashboard after a couple of minutes and come back, the update has finished though.
Is this a normal behavior? Can I still trust BackWPup? ??Cheers
