Update image URL's after renaming

Hi, I am trying to optimize a site and would like to know if anyone knows of a good way to update the image URL’s after renaming the image.. I also want the images to still display where they originally were, so it would have to update the link throughout the site.

If anyone knows of any plugin, or way of doing this, please let me know.
