    Tried to update Virtue theme (up to 2.5.4.) and it seemes update was succesfull. But when I navigating to site to any page from main I get an error /wp-content/themes/virtue/functions.php on line 10

    Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ” (include_path=’.:/usr/local/php55/lib/php’)

    Line 10 in functions.php is

    require_once locate_template(‘/themeoptions/framework.php’); // Options framework

    How can it be fixed?

    BTW not all of my websites running Virtue get this error. Only 2 of 11. But from first look I can’t detect the reason of issue. The same hosting, the same PHP versions.

    I also have a white screen after the update. Hope this can be sorted asap.

    I also had a white screen after a message that Virtue had failed to update correctly, but downloading and manually reinstalling the latest theme has corrected the problem – as far as I can see with no other issues. Luckily this was just on my testing server.

    Hi RoyReed, I try to reinstall the lastest theme but the problem is still here

    I managed to get my page back by deleting the theme by FTP and uploading the previous version.

    Will not be updating again as it looks like there is a problem on the developers side.

    I got the blank page after last update too.

    Where can I download the previous version?

    The update failed on my staging site giving me the blank page issue. It seems the update empties the virtue theme folder and then exits giving the error “Failed to remove the old version”. or words to that effect. Since there’s nothing in the theme folder, the site renders just whitespace.

    I first restored the old version from a backup which worked fine and then I manually downloaded 2.5.4 and updated (via FTP) without issue.

    I downloaded old version and I am back in business, please let us know once this is fixed. I will check back to see if the update has been fixed.

    LOVE the theme and hopefully the developer will correct this soon. when you folks deleted your theme and uploaded the previous version, did you lose your customizations?

    Got the same issue and am now downgrading to earlier version via FTP

    @rgnicholas, Ideally, you won’t lose any customisations you’ve made with the theme customiser because that’s stored in a different place, but if you made changes to the theme itself via some other means (FTP or File Manager) then you may have issues.

    Same error as above.. Virtue folks, fix the upgrade please.
